ABA Supreme Club Coaches
Bio: Brett has significant coaching experience, having success with both boys and girls teams. His Explosion (girls), Legends, twenty thirteen, and twenty sixteen (boys) each won well over 100 games and captured MO Show Me State Games championships. Brett will focus on fundamentals while helping your player better understand the game. Brett is married and a father of 3. He attends church locally at Church of the Four Corners. Brett is extremely competitive, but has grown to understand that sports are simply part of life. "We should use them to help make us better people. Life is competitive, so if we can learn to compete it will help us later".
Bio: Jerome has been coaching with ABA Supreme since 2015 and has been coaching youth basketball for 15 years. Jerome graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1992. He played varsity basketball and football for the Bears. Jerome went to college at Weber State University in Salt Lake City, Utah and achieved a bachelors degree in project management. Jerome enjoy's coaching youth in basketball because they rely on each other to be successful, the same as adults all do at their jobs. He loves watching the lights pop on in the kids' heads and watching them take off from there. Jerome feels very blessed to have the opportunity to give back to our youth and provide the same opportunities that were given to him which gave him the competitive edge that he needed to compete at a high level.
Bio: Jeff was a 1988 graduate of Fort Osage High School where he received 1st team All-Conference, All-Area Honorable Mention and Fort Osage Senior Basketball Player of the Year honors following the 1987-88 season. During an outstanding senior season Jeff led his team in Scoring (13.0 ppg), Rebounds (9.7 rpg) and Assists (3.8 apg). He also set single season school records for points in a half (21) and rebounds in a game (20). Jeff signed with Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO where he played his freshman year and led the Junior Varsity team in Scoring (17.6 ppg) and Rebounding (8.2 rpg). After sitting out a year due to transfer rules Jeff played his final two years at Avila College in Kansas City, MO. In a solid senior campaign he led the team in Field Goal Percentage (58.9%), was 4th in Scoring (9.2 ppg), 2nd in Rebounding (6.8 rpg) and was awarded the “Sister Ann Dominic” Hustle Award. Jeff has over 25 years of experience coaching and instructing young players. Jeff has coached in the Legacy Basketball program for 7 years and was the assistant coach on 4 MO/KAN State Championship teams and the head coach on 2 MO/KAN State Championship teams including the 2008 7th grade boys division and the 2009 6th grade boys division. Jeff is currently coaching in the ABA Supreme program and was the head coach of the 2012 9th grade boys division MO/KAN State Champion ABA Supreme team. He brings a passion for helping young athletes master the skills necessary to improve in the game of basketball.
Bio: Stephen has been coaching since fall 2004, he has been with the Supreme organization since fall 2010. Stephen graduated from Truman High School in 2006 and, in 2010, graduated from Rockhurst University with a degree in Business Management/Accounting. Stephen loves the game of basketball and working with youth athletes to help them achieve their goals and move on to the next level. His favorite part of coaching is seeing a former or current player play for their school teams and beyond.
Bio: Cory has been coaching with ABA Supreme since 2015. He graduated from Blue Springs South High School in 2013 and is currently attending the University of Central Missouri. Cory's passion for the game began at a very young age and and he played on competitive travel teams until he was 17. He loves teaching youth all aspects of the game and wants to help his players achieve success on the court, as well as off the court. Cory believes the key to success begins with the fundamentals and his goal as a coach is to help each player reach their maximum potential.
Bio: Tyler was a 2013 graduate from Blue Springs HS. He played football until an injury shortened his outstanding career. Tyler also played basketball for a dominant twenty thirteen club basketball team where he excelled both in the low post and from beyond the arc. Tyler epitomizes the term "hard to guard"! Tyler currently works for the Blue Springs School District and is an excellent teacher. He is able to break down the game so that young players can understand and execute.
Bio: Bre has been coaching with ABA for a little over a year. Prior to coaching with the ABA program she coached at the middle school level in the Independence School District. Bre spends her life teaching kids on and off of the court. Currently, she is a math teacher for Bingham Middle School. She feels the most important aspect of coaching is helping her players understand the game.
